- Tu billetera: chorisitos ganados y gastados, y tu progresión (partidos jugados y ganados, quinces,

The short version
CHORISO keeps only what it needs for you to play and not lose your progress: if you open an account, your email
and your nickname; if you don't, not even that. There are no ads, no third-party analytics and no trackers.
Nothing is sold or handed to anyone. And if you want to leave, a button inside the game deletes your account and
everything of yours — no permission required, no email to write.
What is stored
If you play without an account
- An anonymous identifier the game creates on your phone. It says nothing about who you are: it is a random number.
- Your wallet: chorisitos earned and spent, and your progression (matches played and won, fifteens, brooms,
calls, streak, daily missions, chest, pass, Tour stars and what you bought in the shop).
- The online matches you play against another person: date, target, points, calls, wager and both players'
nickname and identifier. That ledger belongs to both of you: it is how each of you sees your history with the other.
- Your settings (felt, deck, sound, language) live on your phone.
If you open an account
- Your email and your nickname.
- Your password, never in the clear: stored as a PBKDF2-SHA256 derivation (100,000 iterations) with a salt
of its own. Not even we can read it.
- The verification and recovery codes, also stored as cryptographic digests and with an expiry.
- Your open sessions, stored as digests (not the key itself), and which device opened each one.
- The identifiers of your devices and the window during which each one was active.
- Your cloud profile, so your progress follows you to another phone: settings, progression, medals,
purchases and — if you chose or took a profile picture, that picture. A few earlier versions of the
profile are kept too, so it can be recovered if something goes wrong.
- The date you signed up, your invite code and, if you were invited, who brought you.
What is NOT stored
- Your location. Not even approximate.
- Your contacts, your calendar, your photos (only the one you pick as your profile picture), your microphone or
your camera beyond that picture.
- Ads, ad networks, pixels, third-party cookies or analytics tools.
- Payment data: CHORISO charges nothing today.
Your IP address is held briefly in the server's memory to stop abuse (so nobody can try a thousand passwords
in a row) and is dropped on its own. It is never written to a file.
What it is used for
- The email: only to send you the code that verifies your account or the one that lets you recover it.
Nothing else. It goes out through a mail service hired for that.
- The nickname: so your opponent knows who they are playing.
- The wallet and progression: so the game is the game, and for the ranking.
- The match ledger: so each player sees their history with the other.
There is no profiling, no automated decisions about you, and no behavioural advertising.
Who holds it
Everything lives on CHORISO's own server, rented from a hosting provider, and travels encrypted (HTTPS). No third
party has access: no analytics, no advertising, no outside databases. The only external service is the mail
provider that sends your verification code.
How to delete your account
It is inside the game
Go to Profile → Delete my account, confirm with your password, and that's it. There is nobody to write to
and nothing to wait for: it happens on the spot and cannot be undone.
What disappears: your email, your nickname, your password, your codes, your sessions, your devices, your
cloud profile (with your picture and its earlier versions), your chorisitos, your progression, your medals and
your purchases.
What remains: the matches you played against other people stay in the ledger without your name —
they belong to your opponent too, and we cannot erase their history — plus a nameless record that the account was
deleted. Neither one can tell anyone who you were.
And one more thing, only if your Catchphrase had been sanctioned: the sanction does not leave with the
account. It is recorded against your email address — not against the account — so that deleting and
starting over is not the way around it. That record does not store your email: it stores an
irreversible fingerprint of it (there is no way back from the stored value to your address), the date it
runs until, the day the account that caused it was opened, and what kind each rejection was.
Never the text you wrote. It deletes itself one year after the sanction has been served. If you
were never sanctioned, there is no record of you at all.
If you were playing without an account and want a clean slate, clearing this site's data in your browser is enough.
Your other rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, or ask us to delete it, by writing to
soporte@elchoriso.com from your account's email. We answer on business days.
Children
CHORISO is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly ask them for data. If you are under 13, play
without an account or ask an adult to open one.
Changes
If this changes, it changes here and with a new date. The version at the top is the one in force today.
